What's the difference between Computer and User configuration level?

Configuration Level determines the scope the power plan settings are written to on the endpoint — Computer-level settings apply system-wide, while User-level settings apply to the logged-in user's profile.

What does an Action Type of Create, Modify, or Delete do?

Create builds a new power scheme on the endpoint. Modify updates an existing scheme's settings. Delete removes a power scheme, as seen in plans like "Delete Office Power Plan."

What do "Overwrite If Exists," "Set As Active," and "Enable Hibernate Support" control?

Overwrite If Exists lets a new scheme replace an existing one with the same name. Set As Active makes the created scheme the endpoint's active power plan. Enable Hibernate Support turns on hibernation for that scheme and unlocks the System Hibernate timeout fields.

What idle actions can a power plan control?

Each plan sets separate timeouts for Plugged In and Running on Battery across four actions: Dim the Display, Turn Off the Display, Turn Off to Sleep, and System Hibernate, plus Additional Settings for what the Power Button and Lid Close should do (Do Nothing, Sleep, Hibernate, or Shutdown).

How do I push a power plan to endpoints?

Creating a plan doesn't deploy it by itself. Under Power Plan Deployments, create a deployment, choose a scope (e.g. specific endpoints), select the endpoints, choose the power management configuration to apply, and pick a deployment policy that controls the rollout.

Where can I check whether a deployment succeeded?

The Power Plan Deployments list shows each deployment's stage and progress. Opening a deployment shows per-endpoint task status (e.g. Success), and opening a task's output shows a timestamped execution log detailing each step — creating the plan, enabling hibernate support, applying settings, and setting it active.
